Restoring the House of Prayer and Prioritizing God's Heart

Uncategorized Aug 21, 2023

God spoke to the Jewish people in Haggai, urging them to reflect on their ways and where they were investing their attention. He mentioned the difficulties they were facing and asked them to consider why these challenges were happening.

It was a wake-up call for the community, who had neglected the House of the Lord and focused on their own homes instead. God desired their hearts to turn to Him and a shift in priorities, emphasizing the importance of valuing the House of Prayer above their domestic lives.

"These people say,'The time has not yet come for the LORD's house to be built... Is it a time for you yourselves to believing in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin? ...Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it. You expected...

Proximity Is Everything...

Excerpt from "Consecrated in the Chaos" chapter 6.

        ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PROXIMITY IS EVERYTHING

Let me take a moment to explain my point. Say there was a revival happening in my city, but I can never go and be a part of it.  I can say, "Revival is happening in Houston, and spiritual awakening is birthing. You have to see it".  Then my friend in San Francisco says, "Really, so what is it like"?  If I have not actually been and seen it with my own eyes, then my answer is, "I don't know. I haven't been yet, but I hear it's amazing.”  God is still moving in Houston, but my proximity reflects that I am not physically there.  When I began to realize that Revelation four and five are happening every day in the throne room of God, it has required of me to answer this question, "What is my proximity to...

How enriched you are when you bear the wounds of being persecuted for doing what is right! For that is when you experience the realm of heaven’s kingdom. Matthew 5:10 TPT

I had the amazing privilege in 2012 of sitting in a small room and sharing dinner and conversation with Pastor Peter Xu and his wife, along with his mentor Brother Fan, and some dear friends of ours.  Peter Xu is the founder of an Evangelical Christian movement in China known as the “Born Again Movement”, which became the largest house church in China estimated at three to four million in the 90’s. In 1997, he was sentenced to three years in prison for his leadership role. Peter was Brother Yun’s (The Heavenly Man) mentor and spent many years together. They were imprisoned together in 1997.  They had been beaten, tortured, starved, shocked, and so many other things, yet the eyes of peace pierced my soul with every word, with every glimpse that...

Confidence in Love

video Nov 07, 2021

Transcribed from "Confidence in Love Pt.1" video above.

This months blog is actually the video up above but I wanted to send it as a blog as well. I believe this is one of the greatest messages I have been sharing these last year and wanted to share it again. I pray you experience and encounter the sweet words of your Father, "You are my delight."

Did you know that you can have confidence in the Lord? Confidence in love?

This has been a huge thing in these last nine months in my own life.  I've been in Roman since 2019. And the Lord has been teaching me so much about who he is his redemptive purpose for me, for us, and then how I can look at him, and see how he made me how he thinks about me how he feels about me. Before I even start today on our teaching about confidence and love, I want to encourage you to just go through Romans eight, yourself to dive in. And then as you dive into Romans eight, why not dive into all of Romans, spend some time...

I Am Fighting for You.

Uncategorized Jul 29, 2021

“Do not be afraid! Take your stand [be firm and confident and undismayed] and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today... The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.” Exodus 14:13-14 AMP

It was a Monday evening and things were just not right. I was in the middle of a very difficult conversation and every word spoken seemed to be a reminder of a my inadequacy and one more confirmation of my insecurities. I was confronted with the vast chasm between God's promise and what my eyes could see.  It was like I could audibly hear the hostility of the accusers assault on my destiny.  I felt as if the world was closing in as frustration and confusion began to rise.  It seemed like there was nothing I could do to stop the arrows of pain directed right at me. Yet this time, my experience felt different than in the past.  I could see the FACTS of the situation, in...

Fix Your Eyes on Him

Uncategorized Jun 30, 2021

This is an excerpt from Chapter 2 of "Consecrated in the Chaos." I remember writing this chapter as I pieced together the words. There was something about writing this story on paper even though I had shared it a thousand times. I hope you enjoy...

"Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4 NIV

"You are blessed when you feel you've lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you." Matthew 5:4 TPT

There was a little boy at the age of 4 or 5 who had been molested by a family member repeatedly. He spent the first part of his life medicating from the pain of those experiences with drugs, alcohol, and other sexual encounters. He spent the next part of His life in ministry healing others somehow hoping that the God of heaven, would heal him. After 33 years of bondage, broken relationships, so much loss, and so much pain on the inside, he came to the end of his...

The Forgiveness of the Forgiven

The Forgiveness of the Forgiven

I wanted to share an excerpt from my book, "Consecrated in the Chaos" out of Chapter 5 on Mercy.

When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee's house and reclined at the table. A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee's house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner." Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have something to tell you.” "Tell me, teacher," he said. "Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. Neither of them had the...

The Ship, The Soldier, and a Hug.

I am releasing my first book on March 29th called, "Consecrated in the Chaos." I am excited to be able to share my journey in the past 10 years through the beatitudes.  I wanted to post this month in the blog one of the stories I share in it. This was a moment that forever changed the way I viewed my life and walk with the Lord.  I hope it encourages you.

“What blessing comes to you when gentleness lives in you! For you will inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5 MSG

It was late November 1989, and the Berlin Wall had just come down November 9th.  I was traveling all over Europe to proclaim the goodness of Jesus.  I was on a boat traveling from Helsinki, Finland to St. Petersburg, Russia.  I felt the Lord impressing on me to draw away with him. I excused myself from the group I was with and went on the top deck of the boat. It was an...

Love in The Midst of the Storm...

Uncategorized Jan 05, 2021

'Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity . Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. ' Philippians 2:3-4

I stood in the parking lot outside the prayer room on a humid July summer night to listen to a friend sharing his heart about all of the craziness of 2020.  The headlines of the week were riots in the streets, shut downs in our city, and a lot of political tension and division gripping the church.  As he shared with true transparency and authenticity, he looked at me with an intense bewilderment. "Cassidy," he said, "Can I ask you a question? How can any person claiming to be a follower of Jesus call themselves a democrat?" I paused for a moment and sighed.  I looked down...

The Winds of Revival Are Blowing

Uncategorized Oct 07, 2020

There is a serious move of God that is blowing through our nation!  Salvation, worship, signs and wonders, and the sweet blessing of unity has been slowly moving through our nation since April. Maybe you have heard and seen as well or and maybe you haven't. I know in our day and age of fast access of our media, we tend to think if we haven't heard then it is hard to believe it's actually happening. But let me tell you, IT IS HAPPENING!  I am seeing it with my own eyes. In all of my 30 years as a believer I have never been filled with such great hope and expectation.  We are seeing the Lord doing something totally unprecedented in America.

I understand that in these days the darkness and confusion can seem disheartening and cause uncertainty.  Jesus said,

"You will hear of wars nearby and revolutions on every side, with more rumors of wars to come. Don’t panic or give in to your fears, for the...
